Caffè Poliziano is an ancient Coffee, decorated in Art Nouveau style, which opened in 1868, located in the center of Montepulciano. It is a spacious, elegant and refined café, which is part of the Locali Storici d’Italia [Italian Historical Establishments]. Over the years, generations of tourists from all over the world have looked out its balcony, which opens onto the splendid scenery of Val di Chiana. Year after year, for oer two centuries, many famous people have spent their free time through its rooms. Located on two floors, with three rooms, two balconies and large terrace, at the Café Poliziano you can start your day with a rich sweet or savoury breakfast, or stop for lunch and dinner, for a quick snack or enjoying the homemade Tuscan traditional dishes. You can also make a stop for a drink or for a tasting of the wonderful wines of Montepulciano, selected from the best labels of the area, combined with cheeses from Pienza and other local specialties; or relax while sipping one of more than forty types of tea and herbal teas or, why not, a hot chocolate, along with desserts prepared by the pastry chef of the Café.
