Relais Ortaglia is a luxury and privately owned boutique country house nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany, below the medieval town of Montepulciano famous for its Vino Nobile DOCG, a red Tuscan wine. The location exudes peace and tranquility. It has stunning views of the Tuscan countryside, where rows of vines meet fields of yellow sunflowers, turning their heads towards the sun. The outdoor infinity pool has captivating views over the surrounding hills of ancient Olive Groves while herb and lavender lined stone terraces and patios offer comfortable shaded spaces to admire the vista and escape into another time.
Relais Ortaglia has five individually designed and beautifully appointed rooms, blending luxury accommodation with contemporary décor and modern essentials. The rooms are generously proportioned and designed with comfort in mind, offering full en-suite bathroom facilities, air conditioning, minbar and fast Wi-Fi. Sleep on the finest quality Egyptian cotton sheets. Each room has either a balcony, a jacuzzi tub or sauna. All rooms have captivating views of the gardens, the vineyards and the patchwork quilt countryside. At sunset, the crimson sun dips below the horizon, blanketing the landscape in a rosy glow. Complimentary organic cotton waffle weave bathrobes, luxurious Aveda rosemary and mint bath/shower products are offered. A full wine selection is also available in each room.
This 17th century country house has been lovingly restored to provide the perfect getaway for friends, family and that special occasion. The current owners have dedicated time, love and resources into restoring the house to its former glory whilst updating it with essentials for the discerning traveller.
Sandy and Phil have blended rustic and contemporary furnishings, creating a relaxed and intimate environment. A complimentary buffet breakfast, including sweet and savoury treats is served on the terrace.
