Calici di Stelle in Montepulciano
For twenty-five years, Montepulciano has celebrated the magic of Calici di Stelle (“Goblets Under the Stars”), the event that, on the night of San Lorenzo, brings together wine, culture, and a unique atmosphere in a celebration that has become a symbol of the Italian summer. For this special 25th anniversary edition, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG will take center stage in a food and wine experience enriched by live music, local crafts, and activities for children.
Tastings will be offered in three different formats: guided tastings by reservation, paired with local products and traditional recipes at the Temple of San Biagio and the Vicolo del Leone Terrace; self-guided tasting itineraries through the historic town using the “Star Coupon”; or dinner in one of the eight Contrade of the Bravìo delle Botti, accompanied by selected local wines. Wine service will be provided by FISAR sommeliers.
The event is organized by the Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano e dei Sapori della Valdichiana Senese, in collaboration with and with the support of the Municipality of Montepulciano.

5 P.M. | Tour of the monumental wine cellars of Montepulciano – SPECIAL CALICI

During the evening, visitors will be able to purchase the “coupon stella”, which includes a wine glass with glass holder and itinerant tastings of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano or cocktails made with Rosso di Montepulciano.

At 7 P.M. and 9:30 P.M. | Seated tastings in 2 exclusive locations in Montepulciano, paired with local flavours. Two sessions lasting 1 hour and 30 minutes each.
Each location will offer a tasting of 3 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano labels, presented by the producers and paired with local products. Live musical entertainment included.
Terrazza di Vicolo del Leone (To make a reservation, click on the link)- Tasting with spelt and chickpea salad and local cheeses. Musical accompaniment by Clara Whites, saxophonist.
Loggiato della Canonica di San Biagio (To make a reservation, click on the link)- Wine tasting with Chianina beef tartare by the Consorzio del Vitellone Bianco dell’Appennino Centrale IGP.
