In the land between the Valdichiana and the Val d’Orcia there are many spas with ancient origins. Since the time of the Etruscans there has been confirmed the existence of baths, swimming pools, spas or more simply places where the water has assumed a particular emphasis: Bagni San Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, S. Casciano Bagni, Chianciano Terme, Rapolano Terme and Montepulciano.
Montepulciano Spas
The sulphuric salty bromide-bicarbonate mineral waters are particularly rich in carbon dioxide, that come from a depth of 132metres and are carried to the treatment area without being exposed to the air. This procedure guarantees the unchanged conservation of the natural therapeutic quality of the sulphur, in its original state, carrying out antiseptic, anti-catarrh, anti-spastic and anti-allergy activities.
