La Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano
The "Strada del Vino Nobile di Montepulciano" was created as an association on the 8th April, 1998 as an operative instrument
for the promotion of the territory of the Municipality of Montepulciano, and the area suited to vine cultivation but also rich
in centuries' old history and very important cultural traditions.
A picturesque walk through the pleasant countryside of Montepulciano that winds among the hills that follow one another and where
nature and man's work have designed one of the most beautiful landscapes of Tuscany.
The Strada is an outline on the geographic map but above all is a red line that offers its territory and its culture,
its typical products, naturalistic and historical attractions; is a 'starter trip' in the discovery of Vino Nobile and it
producers in the cellars excavated in the rocks and tufa; it is a trip that takes one through the typical tastes by enjoying
the most sought after restaurants or the characteristics trattorias; but it is also a break and distraction among the unique
works of art and the unforgettable landscape paths; and in brief an instrument for divulging and informing, permitting the
visitor to enrich themselves culturally, and be a protagonist in discovering the territory of Montepulciano.

Information and Booking Centre: attività the activity of information about
the territory and in particular the associated businesses; Information Office in the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo (Piazza Grande)

Exhibition Room: On the 14th May, 2005 was inaugurated in the historical locality of the
Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, with the entrance in Via Ricci, 2, the exhibition centre "Le Logge della Mercanzia".
It is an exhibition space of 140 sq.mt. in the heart of the city, where the Strada del Vino Nobile organizes
Exhibitions and Shows or simply makes available the space to those who are interested.

Organization and co-ordination of events: everyone knows what is the Calici di Stelle
(Chalices under the Stars), but the Strada del Vino Nobile also organizes other
events and shows (eg. Cantine Aperte - Open Cellars, Com'è buono…l'olio - How good it is - the oil, In tempo di Vendemmia)
